How many ways can you pass the time, enjoy yourself, and exercise the mind? Is there really any limit? There are crossword puzzles, and mazes, and online casino games, and word puzzles and a whole host of other things. Then, of course, there is cat-play. Confused by the term? Don’t be. Cat play simply refers to what to sounds like: playing with your pet cat. You can throw a rubber mouse, watch him play with a ball of yarn. They like to unravel it so be prepared for a big mess when they are done. Sometimes a cat will just enjoy sitting on your lap and being petted gently. Not only is this good for the cat, but it is also healthy for you. Studies have shown that petting the soft fun of a cat can help relax the mind and boast concentration. That will make all those crossword puzzles and mazes and online games that much easier and more fun. Just don’t try it with a dog. By nature, dogs are restless and do not like sitting for extended periods. That is unless they are sleeping, and you know that adage about letting sleeping dog lie. It is true. They do not like being disturbed. So stick with cats and crossword puzzles and jumbles if you want relaxation. If you want excitement, toss a frisbee to your dog. But do so while you are outside and there is more room.
